Relapse Prevention Specialist
Lake Forest, California USA
Dr. Carol Suter graduated from Cal State University, Long Beach with a degree in fine arts, and was on a teaching track. She was the first in her family to finish a college degree, and for this was considered to be a bit of a renegade.
But she never did become a teacher, instead becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist some years later, as her desire to help and teach others had been a constant feature of her personality and life path. She spent all of her early years among alcoholics and addicts, and saw their pain and struggles to be free of addictions, and to become happy and healthy people.
She has searched her entire career to find answers, tools, manners and methods to help the addicts of the world.
She is delighted to have four and trained in the Addiction Project, because it really does work.
Dr. Carol Suter was raised and educated in many parts of the world and the U.S. because of her father's work, but they always came back to Southern California. Her early life was spent among addicts and alcoholics from all but the youngest generation. She saw the heartache, damage and family dysfunction the addicts and alcoholics caused. And she wanted to make it better – for many years.
She attended Cal State University at Long Beach, earned a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts, with plans to teach school, married, had children, worked in her husband's dental office, and many years later went back to school to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, then a Doctor of Clinical Psychology, a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. More recently, Dr. Carol Suter worked as a Military and Family Life Counselor, traveling and staying all over the world and the U.S. to counsel Military personnel and their families for five years. She has also worked extensively with injured workers, many of whom have opiate and tranquilizer addictions as a result of their chronic pain.
In her work Dr. Suter treats people of all ages, families and groups, and is staying local, in South Orange County.
It is a great gift for Dr. Suter to have discovered the Addiction Project to offer it to you and your friends and loved ones.
