Addiction affects more than the person addicted.

Addiction has shaped our lives from both sides. We’ve lost people to alcoholism, we’re watching people we love continue to suffer, and we’ve faced our own struggles with addiction. We may still be young, but we’ve already seen how far the damage can reach.

"the addiction project" is our way of doing something about it.

A Charity centred around substance abuse, grief and mental health.

CHALLENGE → COMMUNITY → SUPPORT

Challenge gains presence

Community starts conversations

Support is the reason for all of it

CHALLENGE

Get people’s attention

We’ve always loved a challenge. Pushing ourselves. Testing our limits.

Now we’re using that drive to show what we are physically capable of.

COMMUNITY

Get people talking

To get talking about addiction, grief, mental health and what it’s like for the families living around it.

To build a community, where people can take part in challenges.

SUPPORT

Get people help

To build a support network for people struggling and those effected.

Long term, "the addiction project" wants to build real support services.

UNDER 160 DAYS

In April 2027, we’re planning to attempt the world record for climbing the highest points of the countries of geographical Europe. One continuous attempt across Europe. We’ll climb it, drive it, live out of a van, film it and see how far we can push ourselves.

LONG TERM CHARITY MAP

THE CHALLENGES ARE THE START

The long-term goal is to turn the attention and community built around "the addiction project" into real support.

We’re not there yet. But we know what we want to work towards.

24/7 HELPLINE

Long term, we want to build a free 24/7 helpline for people affected by addiction and the people around them.

SUPPORT POP-UPS

At future community events, we want to create temporary places where people can talk, find information and be pointed towards appropriate help.

PHYSICAL HUBS

Eventually, we want to create permanent places where people affected by addiction, including families and those around them, can walk through the door and find support.

These are long-term goals. Building them properly will take time, funding, professional input and the right partners.

The Addiction Project is for the people

THE BEGINNING

Where it starts

We have the plan. We know what we want this to become. The challenges and films are where it starts a way to get people looking, start conversations and build a community around something that affects far more people than we often see. Everything we do from here is about turning that attention into something that can genuinely help.

We can’t do this ourselves

We’re looking for partners who want to be part of what we’re building. From supporting a single challenge to working with The Addiction Project long term, partnerships can include funding, equipment, travel, technology, services or collaborative projects. Every partnership is built around what makes sense for both sides.
